Guide to filing for divorce
- Divorce petition (If unilateral divorce is requested - the petition is signed by the petitioner) or Petition for the Court to recognize consensual divorce (If both spouses agree to divorce - the petition is signed by both spouses).
- Original Marriage Certificate - In case of loss of the original marriage certificate, a certified copy from a competent state agency must be submitted, but this must be clearly stated in the lawsuit.
- Notarized copy of the couple's identity card or passport
- Notarized copy of the couple's family household registration book
- Notarized copy of the children's birth certificates (if any) child).
- Copies of documents proving ownership of property (if requesting resolution of property issues).
